Here is a look at what we currently have blooming & growing in Spring 2025 (garden zone 10a)…🌱

My personal favorite blooms in our FL garden:

  • Zinnias

  • Cosmos

  • Native Milkweed

  • Marigolds

  • Purslane

  • Dwarf morning glory

  • Herb of grace

  • Indian Mallow

  • Plumeria

  • Hibiscus

  • Passion flower

  • Star jasmine

  • Bougainvillea

  • Lantana

Other gems we currently have growing:

  • Sweet potatoes

  • Passion fruit

  • Meyer lemons

  • Peppers (jalapeños & picnic peppers)

  • Herbs (oregano, mint, rosemary, parsley, & basil)

  • Elderberry

  • Seminole pumpkins

I have found the phrase “right plant, right place” to be exceptionally true during my time in the garden. Even if we live in the same garden zone, there are SO many factors that go into making certain varieties thrive. Gardening is a constant experiment, & keeping an open hand to Mother Nature’s aptitude is part of the fun. Happy gardening!
